This isn't my first attempt to make table-top SLGs or "battle-chesses" as Chinese gamer would call this genre.

I also drew inspiration from Dota2's Ability Draft Mode where people draft abilities from a pool to build their own unique characters. This system is where most of my game's replayability comes from. It kind of makes each game more or less a "roguelike" experience.

Digging deeper into the classical board game Legacies. I want the game to utilize Eurogame's natural tradition, make an SLG that highly focuses on positioning and movements like chess or checkers. This also

Speaking of UX, the game's health bar is inspired by another tabletop SLG called High Heavens by Ryan Lesser and Sean Andrew "Muttonhead" Murray. I've been amazed at how they came up with using chip stacks as health bars which is extremely convenient and clear. Such a system also inspired me to create the "debris" system, which became an essential part of this game's gameplay.

Chip's and the two dices aren't provided, so you might want to buy some backgammon pieces and two dices.

The "Debris" system in the game is probably my proudest design out of all time. "Debris" is the black piece that can be placed as obstacles and worn like armor. Abilities that interact with debris also interacts with players wearing debris as armor the same way. Introducing even more positioning and counter positioning. Making this a chaotic yet strategically competitive brawl that both fans of deck-builders, SLG, and table-top eurogames might enjoy.
